Cookie Policy
Effective: April 1, 2026 · Last updated: April 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how GPTPrompts.AI uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit gptprompts.ai. For information on how we handle personal data more broadly, see our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by websites you visit. They serve many functions, including remembering your preferences, understanding how you use a site, and enabling personalized advertising.
"Similar technologies" include web beacons, pixels, local storage, and session storage — which we group together under the term "cookies" in this policy.
2. Categories of cookies we use
a) Strictly necessary cookies
These enable core site functionality. Without them, the site cannot function properly. We use minimal strictly-necessary cookies — mostly session cookies set by our hosting provider (Vercel) that manage basic request routing.
b) Analytics cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are popular and how the site is performing. Google Analytics sets cookies (typically starting with _ga) that identify unique sessions and users in an aggregate way.
Data collected: page views, session duration, approximate location (country/region), device type, browser type, referring URL. We do not receive your name, email, or other personally identifying details from Google Analytics.
c) Advertising cookies
We display ads via Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies (including __gads, __gpi, and the DoubleClick DART cookie) to show advertisements relevant to you, frequency-cap how often you see specific ads, and measure ad performance.
Advertising cookies may track your visits across different websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings or optout.aboutads.info. Opting out does not remove advertising — it removes personalization.
d) Functional / preference cookies
If you interact with features like dark mode or collapsible sections, your browser may store those preferences in local storage so they persist between visits. These are stored on your device and not sent to us.
3. Third-party cookies
Some cookies on the Site are set by third parties (not by us directly). These include:
- Google (Analytics + AdSense) — see Google's Cookies & Similar Technologies policy.
- Vercel (our hosting provider) — see Vercel's privacy policy.
We do not control third-party cookies directly. Each provider has its own cookie practices described in their privacy documentation.
4. How to manage cookies
You can control cookies in several ways:
- Browser settings: all major browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies. See the help sections of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, or your preferred browser.
- Google Analytics opt-out: install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Personalized ads opt-out: Google Ads Settings, DAA opt-out, or Your Online Choices (EU).
- Do Not Track: we honor DNT signals where technically feasible, but note that most advertising networks do not respond to DNT.
Blocking all cookies may degrade your experience on some sites but will not prevent you from reading our content.
5. Updates
We may update this Cookie Policy as our practices or third-party services change. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
