Instant Voice Cloning, available from the Starter plan at $6 per month, creates a working clone from just a short audio sample (a few minutes) in minutes, good enough for a lot of narration and personal projects.

Professional Voice Cloning, on the Creator plan and above, is the high-fidelity option. It trains on much more of your audio (typically tens of minutes to hours) and produces a noticeably more accurate, expressive replica that holds up for professional narration, audiobooks, and branded content. If your voice is the product, this is the version worth the higher tier.

A few practicalities. Clean source audio matters more than quantity: a quiet room, a decent mic, and consistent delivery produce a better clone than a long noisy recording. And there is a clear ethical and legal line: ElevenLabs' terms only permit cloning voices you own or have explicit permission to use, with safeguards against impersonation. Cloning your own voice is squarely fine; cloning someone else's without consent is not.
