Can Genspark build spreadsheets and analyze data?

AI Sheets is Genspark's data capability, and it goes further than autocomplete-style formula help. It can build a spreadsheet from a description, gather the data to populate it by scraping the web, and then write and run Python to analyze and visualize that data, producing charts rather than just cells. That combination (collect, structure, analyze, visualize) is closer to a junior analyst's workflow than to a formula assistant.

Because it can both fetch and process data, it is well suited to research-heavy analysis where the data does not already sit tidily in a file.

The April 2026 Workspace 4.0 update added a native Excel plugin, so results move into the spreadsheet tool most people already use rather than staying locked in the agent. As with slides, this reduces the friction between generation and the manual refinement real work requires.

The honest boundary: Genspark accelerates data gathering and first-pass analysis dramatically, but you still own verification. Web-scraped data can be stale or wrong, and generated analysis should be spot-checked before it informs a decision. Treat it as a fast, capable analyst whose work you review, which is exactly the right posture for any AI in a data role.
