Is Genspark's free plan enough, or do I need to pay?
Quick answer
The free plan gives about 200 credits per day (enough for a few simple agent tasks) plus the same unlimited chat and image generation. It is great for trying the agent, but serious daily use needs Plus.
Genspark's free plan is genuinely useful for evaluation and light use. You get around 200 credits per day, enough for roughly three to eight simple agent tasks, and critically you get the same unlimited AI chat and image generation that paid users have. So as a replacement for a basic chatbot, the free plan may be all a casual user ever needs.
Where the free plan runs out is agent throughput. Two hundred daily credits does not cover a full slide deck (100-plus credits each) plus much else, and it resets daily rather than pooling, so you cannot save up for a big job. The moment your work involves regular decks, spreadsheets, research runs, or any phone or video generation, the daily drip becomes the bottleneck.
The sensible path is to use free to answer one question: does Genspark's agent actually do your work well? Run a real task or two, see the quality, and only upgrade to Plus ($24.99 per month for 10,000 pooled credits) once you know it earns its place in your workflow. Nothing about starting free limits you later.
One nuance: because chat and image generation are unlimited even on free, do not judge the credit economy by how fast the daily 200 disappears when you experiment with agent tasks. Those tasks are the expensive part by design; ordinary use barely touches the meter.
