Last checked: 30 October 2026. This comparison uses the official pricing and billing sources listed below. Prices are USD before tax, on monthly billing unless stated otherwise. These are published allowances, not measured build costs. Account-specific offers and future pricing may differ.
| Builder / plan | Monthly price (USD) | Billing unit / included usage | Free tier | Unused allowance / rollover |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lovable Pro [1, 2] | $25 per workspace | 100 monthly plan credits; usage varies by work and mode. Workspace members share the balance. | 5 build credits daily, capped at 30 per calendar month. | Monthly plan credits carry forward with an active subscription, expiring 2 months after issue. Daily grants do not roll over. |
| Bolt Pro [3] | From $25 | 10 million tokens per month at the starting tier; project context also consumes tokens. | 1 million tokens monthly, with a 300,000 daily limit. | Paid subscription tokens carry into one additional month. An active paid subscription is required. |
| v0 Plus [4, 5] | $30 per user | $30 monthly usage credits per user; model input and output tokens determine usage. Current offer also includes $2 daily login credits. | 7 messages daily; new users receive $5 one-time credits. Existing Free accounts can retain a monthly allowance. | Monthly credits roll forward and expire after 65 days. Purchased credits expire after 1 year and require a paid plan to use. |
| Replit Core [6, 7, 8] | $20 ($18/month equivalent on annual billing) | $20 monthly credits toward paid usage; Free Mode has a separate allowance. Agent and running services can consume credits. | Starter documentation lists capped daily Agent credits and 1 published app lasting 30 days. No fixed public dollar allowance. | Core credits reset monthly. Rollover is a Pro feature; its documentation specifies 2 months. |
My short verdict
Start with a small, representative feature and inspect its actual usage before buying more capacity. The lowest subscription price does not establish the lowest cost for your project, especially when retries and running costs are included.
It makes sense when
- You have a defined first feature and can compare each builder on the same brief.
- You can review generated work, check your usage dashboard and set a budget before scaling.
- You want monthly billing while you learn how much capacity your workflow consumes.
I would choose something else when
- You need a guaranteed number of production-ready apps for a fixed subscription fee.
- You have not budgeted for the deployed app, integrations or follow-up changes.
- You are comparing an annual monthly-equivalent price with another tool's monthly subscription.
01
Compare the billing unit before the subscription
A credit is a product-specific unit, not a common currency across all four builders. Compare the allowance with the work you need completed, rather than treating a credit, token and message as interchangeable.
Bolt includes project files in the material processed by its AI, so the same short request can consume more tokens as a project grows. For a fair trial, use the same feature, similar project context and the same acceptance checks on each builder.
02
Plan for expiry and account-specific offers
Rollover extends an allowance's useful life; it does not make unused capacity permanent. Check the grant's issue date, expiration date and subscription requirements before planning a large build around a saved balance.
v0's former $20 Premium plan is being sunsetted and is closed to new users. The comparison therefore uses Plus. Replit's pricing page currently starts with paid plans, while its Starter documentation still describes a free plan. Check the allowance shown in your account before relying on a free trial for a launch.
03
Estimate a monthly build budget from observed usage
Record the usage for several representative changes: a small edit, a new feature and a bug fix. Include unsuccessful attempts. Divide total metered usage by the number of completed, checked changes to get a starting estimate for that project.
Multiply your observed average by the changes you expect next month. Compare that demand with the included allowance and available upgrades or top-ups. Keep daily grants separate because a burst of work on one day cannot necessarily use an entire month's daily allowances.
Then add expected hosting, database, storage, domain and external-service costs. Replit's credits can also fund running services, and Lovable uses a shared balance across build and run usage after applicable grants. A subscription should be treated as one part of the operating budget.

Questions people ask before paying
Which AI app builder has the lowest starting paid price?
Among the monthly plans in this October 2026 comparison, Replit Core starts at $20, Lovable Pro and Bolt Pro start at $25, and v0 Plus is $30 per user. Included usage, expiry and running costs differ, so subscription price alone does not predict your total bill.
Can I calculate cost from prompts per month?
Only with an explicit usage assumption. Measure credits, tokens or dollars consumed by representative prompts in your own project, including retries. Multiply that average by expected volume, then account for the plan allowance and running costs. Prompt count alone is not a reliable cost estimate.
Do unused credits roll over?
The rules depend on the plan. Lovable monthly plan credits expire 2 months after issue; Bolt paid tokens last for one additional month; v0 monthly credits expire after 65 days. Replit Core resets monthly, while Pro advertises 2-month rollover. Daily grants follow separate expiry rules.
Is v0 Premium still available for new users?
No. The official v0 documentation says Premium is being sunsetted and is no longer available to new users. This comparison uses the current Plus offer instead.
Does the price include everything needed to run an app?
Do not assume so. Hosting, databases, storage, domains and connected services may use additional allowance or incur separate charges. Estimate both the build workload and the deployed app's expected usage before committing.
