Is ChatGPT Work free?
In the ChatGPT desktop app for Mac and Windows, Chat, Work and Codex are available on every plan, including Free. On web and mobile, OpenAI rolled it out to Pro, Enterprise and Edu first, then Plus and Business.

How much usage does ChatGPT Work include?
Work follows the same usage structure as Codex: complex tasks use more of your plan's included usage. Admins on business plans can set workspace defaults, group limits and individual overrides.

Which model powers ChatGPT Work?
It launched on GPT-5.6, and OpenAI now describes ChatGPT Work as powered by GPT-6, with GPT-6 Sol and Luna added on September 22, 2026.

Tasks ChatGPT runs once, on a schedule, or when an event happens, using your connected apps and browser, for example refreshing a weekly agenda from Slack or summarising dashboard changes each morning.

Can ChatGPT Work use my computer?
On desktop, Computer Use lets it click, type and move files across your apps and browser, for one-off or scheduled tasks. You decide what it can access and when it needs approval.
